The ZONE Series enclosures integrate a wireless access point (802.11ac/ax, 4G LTE, or mesh networking) directly inside the Division 1 certified enclosure — designed for locations where installing network cabling is impractical or cost-prohibitive, such as remote process areas or offshore platforms. The UL Listed industrial control panels are designed for wired installations where centralized PoE power distribution and device management for multiple cameras is the primary requirement. Both product lines are Division 1 certified and can supply power to connected explosion-proof cameras via PoE output ports.
Yes. Spectrum junction boxes are UL Listed for Class I, II, and III Division 1 hazardous locations, covering flammable gases and vapors, combustible dusts, and ignitable fibers and flyings. The UL Listing covers the complete assembled enclosure — not just the housing — ensuring the internal components and wiring are evaluated as a system for the classified environment. Original UL certification documents are available for all models and can be included in project submittal packages.
The EX-JB-H-POE-8-BD and ZONE Series models with HPoe8 output support up to 8 connected devices via PoE. The 1414-8-SPH and 1414-8-LTE control panels also support up to 8 ports. Smaller configurations — the 1313-4-SPH (4 ports) and 1313-2-SPH (2 ports) — are available for installations requiring fewer connections. For installations requiring more than 8 cameras from a single distribution point, contact our engineering team to discuss custom panel configurations.
Yes. ZONE Series enclosures provide standard PoE output (HPoe) and wireless networking — they are camera-agnostic at the network level. Any IP camera that supports 802.3af/at PoE and standard network protocols can be connected. However, for optimal integration with Spectrum explosion-proof camera systems (F-Series, D-Series, TEZP/FEZB), our engineering team can pre-validate the complete system configuration — junction box, camera, and mounting — to confirm compatibility and provide a single-source documentation package for your project submittal.
Spectrum provides a complete documentation package for all junction box models: datasheets, dimensional drawings, wiring diagrams, installation manuals, and original UL Listing certificates. For ZONE Series models, wireless radio certifications (FCC, IC) are also available. For project submittals requiring full system documentation — junction box, cameras, and accessories — contact our technical team with your project bill of materials and we will prepare a consolidated package for engineering review and approval.
